Iga Swiatek enjoyed another superb season on the WTA Tour, in which she claimed a fantastic three titles.
Swiatek plans to skip some tournaments in 2026, but plenty of success can be expected from the events she takes on.
She triumphed in Seoul and Cincinnati this season, and also secured a sixth Grand Slam title at Wimbledon.
Swiatek did, however, end her latest season on the WTA Tour in disappointing fashion, falling at the group stage of the WTA Finals.

But she can hold her head high thanks to her overall efforts in 2025, with her Wimbledon success ensuring she now has Grand Slam titles on all three surfaces.
The Pole has, however, been catching the eye for some time, with men’s star Novak Djokovic singing her praises at the 2023 US Open.

He said in a press conference in New York back then: “Iga has been dominating the women’s game the last couple of years and is a multiple Grand Slam winner.
“I love her devotion and dedication. Maybe she’s too humble to say this, but she’s got a great fighting spirit.
“She’s a warrior, she goes out there and doesn’t give a single game. Actually, she probably has the most bagels of anyone in women’s tennis over the last few years.
“It speaks about how seriously and professionally she’s taking every single point and game on the court. So that’s very admirable. I really like that kind of champion spirit and mindset.”

It is, of course, not a straightforward task when trying to compare the superb careers of Djokovic and Swiatek.
But both have enjoyed stunning success at this stage, shining on the ATP Tour and WTA Tour respectively.

And they don’t look like slowing down anytime soon, with Djokovic winning his 101st title in Athens earlier this month.
Djokovic isn’t planning his retirement right now, while at 24, Swiatek still has a very long and exciting future in the game ahead of her.

Back at the 2023 US Open, however, it was the Serbian who stole the limelight from the Pole on the court.
He went all the way and lifted the trophy in New York, while defending champion Swiatek suffered a shock fourth round loss to Jelena Ostapenko.
