Jannik Sinner has proven near unstoppable in recent years, with his world number one status under no danger whatsoever.

Sinner is currently in action at the Cincinnati Open, where he is among the players looking to fine-tune their games for the US Open.

The ATP Masters 1000 tournament represents his first action since Wimbledon, where the Italian lifted the prestigious trophy.

He’s now slowly but surely finding his feet in the North American hard court swing, winning his first two matches back in impressive fashion.

Sinner has had serving struggles in Cincinnati, but he remains one of the very best players on the ATP Tour in that area specifically.

Jannik Sinner can improve in one area to become practically unstoppable

As per the ATP Tour stats, the Italian is behind only Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard for serve leaders this season, level with Taylor Fritz.

And that has been helped by his % 2nd serve points won (59.6%) and % service games won (91.2%) tallies, for which he ranks in first place.

His % 1st serve points won figure of 78.3% meanwhile is ranked fourth, while he’s in the top 30 for average aces per match (7.4).

The very impressive service stats continue with Sinner’s 1.6 average double faults per match, ranking him all the way down in 80th place in that particular area.

And while Sinner is already among the best servers in men’s tennis right now, there is a worry for his opponents that he can become even better.

And that scenario should play out if the world number one can improve upon his % 1st serve figure of 60.4%, which is ranked down in 57th.

It is a complete outlier, but an area that he may just be working on in order to fully master such a key aspect of the game.

Remarkably, Sinner’s near-unstoppable nature is also evident through the ATP’s under pressure leaders list, which he also tops.

His under pressure rating of 253.6 has been generated by his strong displays in various areas, namely a % break points saved figure of 72.2%, which is better than any other player.
