Jannik Sinner will be looking to further add to his Grand Slam title haul at the US Open this year.
Sinner beat Carlos Alcaraz to win Wimbledon, which is the fourth major title of his career.
This enabled him to get revenge from the Roland Garros final, with Sinner implementing different tactics to beat Alcaraz.
Sinner is the first Italian to win a Wimbledon singles title, but there is also one of his compatriots who could be a potential threat at the US Open.

Flavio Cobolli could be a big threat at the US Open this year
Italian tennis is potentially in the strongest position it has ever been, with nine players inside the top 100 in the ATP rankings.
Both Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti are inside the top 10, but there was another Italian player that also stood out at Wimbledon this year.
Flavio Cobolli’s potential was well known before Wimbledon this year, having already won two ATP titles.
However, the 23-year-old took things to another level at Wimbledon, where Cobolli beat the likes of Jakub Mensik and Marin Cilic to reach his first Grand Slam quarterfinal.
His run would come to an end in the last-eight, but Cobolli still impressed against Novak Djokovic.
Cobolli has now made his top 20 debut at world number 19 after his breakthrough run, and could be a potential threat at the US Open.
He has found success on North American hard courts before, with Cobolli reaching the final of the Washington Open last year.
How has Flavio Cobolli performed at the US Open before?
Cobolli actually made his main draw debut at the US Open last year, having lost in qualifying the two years prior.
Despite being a debutant, Cobolli reached the third round before losing to former champion Daniil Medvedev.
| US Open 2024 | Flavio Cobolli’s result |
| First Round | Cobolli (31) beat James Duckworth, 6-1 4-6 6-4 6-4 |
| Second Round | Cobolli (31) beat Zizou Bergs, 4-6 6-3 7-5 6-3 |
| Third Round | Daniil Medvedev (5) beat Cobolli (31), 6-3 6-4 6-3 |
Cobolli is scheduled to have another busy North American hard court swing, as he is entered into three tournaments ahead of the US Open.
He will begin at the Washington Open, looking to go one better than his runner-up finish last year.
Cobolli will then play back-to-back Masters 1000 tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati before heading to New York for the US Open.
