Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have stolen the show at another Grand Slam, with the former beating the latter in the Wimbledon final.
Sinner and Alcaraz have a great relationship, but they were rivals on the court once more during their meeting on Centre Court.
And that meeting was won by world number one Sinner, who defeated ATP number two Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
It represents a first Wimbledon title for the Italian and a fourth Grand Slam title overall, and keeps him top of the world rankings.
The pair now account for the last seven Grand Slam titles, and could continue that trend at the upcoming US Open.

Jannik Sinner responds to Carlos Alcaraz message after Wimbledon final
For now, however, Sinner has taken the latest bragging rights, although Alcaraz has been gracious rather than bitter in defeat.
Alcaraz thanked and congratulated Sinner after losing their final in London, having won each of the last two finals.
And the Italian has now responded to his rival, with Sinner sharing the Spaniard’s post on his own Instagram story with the words: “Thank you Carlos, great match today.”
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz emulate Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon
There is clearly a mutual respect between Sinner and Alcaraz, who are well aware of just how talented the other is.
Such a scenario was also at play among the Big Three, with Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal having once dominated men’s tennis.

| Win | 2024 | US Open | Hard | Taylor Fritz | 6–3, 6–4, 7–5 |

| Loss | 2025 | US Open | Hard | Carlos Alcaraz | 2–6, 6–3, 1–6, 4–6 |
And the current superstars have now emulated two of those icons, with Alcaraz and Sinner becoming only the second pair of French Open finalists in the Open Era to reunite in that season’s Wimbledon final.
They have followed in the footsteps of Nadal and Federer, who remarkably did it every year from 2006 to 2008.
The current dominance should inspire others to step up and break the trend, but actually managing that feat is much easier said than done.
And worryingly for the rest of the ATP Tour, Sinner is only 23 and Alcaraz is just 22, with the duo now boasting nine Grand Slam titles between them.
