The US Open mixed doubles draw has been confirmed, with 16 teams soon battling it out for the $1million prize.

Many top players have withdrawn from the US Open mixed doubles event, which has been revamped this year.

Such withdrawals have arrived due to injuries and indeed the busy schedule, with the Cincinnati Open finishing just one day before the Grand Slam event starts.

But a long list of high-profile stars have remained committed to the US Open mixed doubles, including ATP number one Jannik Sinner and his rival Carlos Alcaraz.

Fans were shocked by the US Open mixed doubles line-up, which also includes WTA stars Emma Raducanu and Iga Swiatek.

US Open mixed doubles draw throws up three enthralling matches

The tournament takes place during US Open fan week at Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, and features eight teams with direct entry and eight with wildcards.

And inevitably, a lot of very exciting clashes have been thrown up by the draw, with three particularly catching the eye.

Jessica Pegula & Jack Draper vs Emma Raducanu & Carlos Alcaraz

British number one Jack Draper has already been through a roller-coaster journey with his US Open mixed doubles venture.

He was scheduled to play with Qinwen Zheng before her withdrawal, with his new partner Paula Badosa once more leaving him alone after she took the same decision, having initially been scheduled to play with Stefanos Tsitsipas.

But he’s finally found a solution in American ace Jessica Pegula, with the pair taking on the much-talked-about duo of British number one Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz.

Sara Errani & Andrea Vavassori vs Elena Rybakina & Taylor Fritz

Pegula and Draper are the top seeds at the tournament, with Elena Rybakina & Taylor Fritz representing the second seeds.

And they have been drawn to take on Sara Errani & Andrea Vavassori, who won their second Grand Slam mixed doubles title together at this year’s French Open.

Their first arrived at the US Open last year, while they also went 3-0 at the 2025 United Cup, with Fritz and Rybakina having emerged victorious at the 2025 Eisenhower Cup on the eve of Indian Wells.

Venus Williams & Reilly Opelka vs Karolina Muchova & Andrey Rublev

Plenty of eyes will be on Venus Williams alone following her winning return to competitive tennis at Washington last month.

And the attention will only increase given her partnership with fellow American and big-hitter Reilly Opelka.

The home favourites do, however, face a very tough test against Karolina Muchova and Andrey Rublev, although Williams’ 14 Grand Slam doubles and two mixed doubles titles should give her and Opelka a real confidence boost.

2025 US Open mixed doubles first round full draw

Perhaps there isn’t a single disappointing US Open mixed doubles first round match given the names involved.

And that will really excite fans, many of whom will have been eagerly awaiting the event after its major shakeup was announced.

There will undoubtedly be somewhat of a friendly nature to the competition given the circumstances, but at the same time every pairing will be desperate to come out on top.

Bragging rights are very much on the line at Flushing Meadows, along with the small matter of $1million in prize money.
