The ATP Tour is rapidly moving towards another edition of Wimbledon, where Carlos Alcaraz is the two-time defending champion.
ATP Tour number two Alcaraz has beaten seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in the last two Wimbledon finals, with a third successive title now on his agenda.
And he heads into the Grand Slam in perfect form, with Alcaraz defeating Jiri Lehecka in the final of Queen’s.
The London tournament was one of two ATP 500 events that concluded on Sunday, having run in conjunction with the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle.
Alexander Bublik beat Daniil Medvedev in the Halle final, with all four players soon turning their focus to Wimbledon.

ATP Tour makes big mistake involving Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev
But the ATP Tour did make a big mistake with the finals of the two tournaments, which featured high-profile players fighting for the trophy.
Remarkably, the finals in both Queen’s and Halle started at the same time, which first and foremost limited viewing options for the two events.
Many tennis fans would have undoubtedly been hugely excited to have watched one final after the other, but it wasn’t meant to be.
The ATP Tour certainly could have made a more sensible scheduling decision, and will hopefully avoid the same mistake going forward.

Alexander Bublik, Daniil Medvedev and Jiri Lehecka rise ATP rankings ahead of Wimbledon
Alcaraz and Lehecka certainly weren’t concerned about the turn of events in Halle, with the same to be said of Medvedev and Bublik in Queen’s.
The Spaniard and the Kazakhstani were delighted with their respective successes, which have arrived at the perfect time in the grass court season.
Alcaraz does, however, remain behind world number one Jannik Sinner in the ATP rankings despite his victory in London.
But his fellow professionals Bublik, Medvedev and Lehecka all enjoyed timely rises thanks to their impressive runs last week.
| Player | Rank | Change |
| Carlos Alcaraz | 2 | – |
| Daniil Medvedev | 9 | +2 |
| Jiri Lehecka | 25 | +5 |
| Alexander Bublik | 30 | +15 |
Along with Medvedev’s change, further movement has arrived in the top 10, with British number one Draper climbing two spots to fourth.
Taylor Fritz and Novak Djokovic have each dropped one spot to fifth and sixth respectively, with Holger Rune up one place to eighth.
