Stefanos Tsitsipas’ 2025 season on the ATP Tour has been, by all accounts, incredibly disappointing.
The Greek star began the year ranked 11th in the world, and has fallen to as far as ATP number 30, following a disastrous run of tournaments and two big changes in his team.
After crashing out of the French Open in the second round, Tsitsipas hired Goran Ivanisevic as his coach, an appointment that would last less than two months.
He parted ways with Ivanisevic, having exited the Wimbledon championships in round one, and reappointed his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas, with whom the results have been just as bad.

With Apostolos back in his corner, Tsitsipas has won just two matches across four tournaments and recently withdrew from the Shanghai Masters amid injury struggles.
Now, however, the former world number three is ready to compete again, and his next challenge comes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Stefanos Tsitsipas has a great opportunity in Saudi Arabia
On Monday, Tsitsipas took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to confirm that he is fit and ready for his first match at the Six Kings Slam, an exhibition event featuring six of the world’s best players.
Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Taylor Fritz will all appear alongside Tsitsipas at the tournament, which will consist of two quarterfinals, two semifinals, a third-place match and a championship bout.
With Djokovic and Alcaraz receiving byes, Tsitsipas’ quarterfinal clash will see him pitted against world number two Sinner, who, surprisingly, he leads 6-3 in their ATP head-to-head.
The other five competitors at the Six Kings Slam will likely just view the event as nothing more than an exhibition, having already played an incredibly long and tiring season.
For Tsitsipas, though, the Six Kings Slam presents a golden opportunity to make a big statement by defeating the world’s very best, and proving he still has what it takes to compete for the grandest prizes in tennis.
A successful campaign in Saudi Arabia would show fans that his nightmare 2025 season was just a one-off, and that there is plenty more to come from Tsitsipas in the future.
After all, Tsitsipas is a two-time Grand Slam finalist, and at 27 years of age, he still has plenty of time to return to the fantastic level he once reached.

The full schedule for the upcoming Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia
The Six Kings Slam kicks off on Wednesday, the 15th of October and runs until Saturday, the 18th, with two matches being played on each day of the event.
On the opening day, the quarterfinals will begin, with Zverev and Fritz facing off first before Tsitsipas and Sinner take centre stage.
The next day, Alcaraz will meet the winner of Zverev vs Fritz in the semifinals, while Djokovic will go toe-to-toe with one of Tsitsipas or Sinner.
After a break on Friday, both the third-place match and the final will take place, with the winner, according to the BBC, set to take home around six million US dollars.
