Jannik Sinner simply cannot be stopped at the moment.

Sinner made history with his Italian Open triumph by becoming just the second man ever to complete the Career Golden Masters, joining Novak Djokovic.

The Italian has not lost a match since February, having won five tournaments in a row, all of which were ATP Masters 1000s.

He’ll now look to make it six straight at Roland Garros, the only Grand Slam he has yet to emerge victorious at.

Jannik Sinner is now a bigger favorite to win Roland Garros than Rafael Nadal ever was

Jannik Sinner equals Stefan Edberg in weeks at world number one

Sinner has now spent a total of 72 weeks at world number one throughout his career, which ranks joint-11th all-time.

He is now tied with six-time Grand Slam champion Stefan Edberg, and is six weeks clear of his rival, Carlos Alcaraz.

With Sinner having guaranteed world number one status until after Wimbledon, he will soon crack the top 10 all-time and surpass Lleyton Hewitt, who spent 80 weeks at the top spot.

Sinner will have to maintain his dominance for quite some time to continue to move further up the list, with Andre Agassi’s tally of 101 the next score to beat.

Players to complete the Career Grand Slam as Jannik Sinner enters Roland Garros as heavy favourite

It has been a long time since there was such an overwhelming favourite for a Grand Slam than there is for Sinner heading into this year’s French Open.

With Alcaraz withdrawing and Alexander Zverev picking up an injury recently, Djokovic may be Sinner’s only big threat in Paris.

Should Sinner win the tournament, he will become the eighth man in the Open Era to complete the Career Grand Slam.

Alcaraz became the most recent addition to the exclusive club by becoming the youngest to achieve the feat earlier this year at the Australian Open, aged 22.

As well as Alcaraz, Djokovic, Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Roy Emerson and Rod Laver have all completed the set since the beginning of the Open Era in 1968.
