Jannik Sinner can now call himself a four-time Grand Slam champion after his Wimbledon final win over Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner is delighted after winning Wimbledon for the first time in his career, having also won the Australian Open twice and the US Open once.
The 23-year-old has now won four and lost one of his five Grand Slam finals, with that defeat coming to Alcaraz at the 2025 French Open.
But Sinner has now managed to superbly bounce back from that defeat in Paris last month, bringing an end to Alcaraz’s career-best 24-match winning streak in the process.
The Spaniard did, however, start their Wimbledon final brightest, but the Italian quickly recovered to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

What Simone Vagnozzi told Jannik Sinner after he lost the first set of the Wimbledon final
His coach Simone Vagnozzi has now revealed insight into their approach after Sinner lost the first set, having spoken after the match alongside fellow coach Darren Cahill.
Vagnozzi said of his thoughts after one set: “I told Darren that in Paris we won the first set, just like Carlos won the first set today. So I said, ‘That’s probably a good sign’.”

But Cahill, who is expected to leave Sinner’s camp at the end of the season, chimed in: “I didn’t agree with him.”
Vagnozzi then added: “Don’t worry, that’s a good sign. No, Jannik definitely had a good start, but Carlos played four incredible games.
“The only thing I told Jannik after the first set was to be less predictable, especially with his serve, because he was only using the wide serve or the T-serve. He was never going for the body.

“He became a little more unpredictable, and that definitely helped Jannik hold serve a little easier in the first set. But he always had the right confidence.
“I think he started the first three games a little less cleanly, but from then on he started playing really well.”
Rennae Stubbs reacts after Jannik Sinner wins Wimbledon final vs Carlos Alcaraz
It was, of course, the other way around in Paris last month, with Alcaraz miraculously coming from behind to defeat Sinner.
The ATP number one failed to convert three championship points in the Roland Garros final, which ended 4-6, 6-7(4-7), 6-4, 7-6(7-3), 7-6.
But he deserves praise for getting the job done this time around, which he did in a professional manner against the world number two.
And his SW19 victory has certainly caught the eye of the tennis world, including former player Rennae Stubbs.
She wrote on X: “Beating the goat in Novak and then the 2 times defending champ in Alcaraz. Wow. What a tournament! So happy for you Jannik Sinner.”
Sinner really was switched on from moment one at Wimbledon, where he knocked out seven-time champion Novak Djokovic on his way to the title.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Serbian at the All England Club, but it seems that the Italian world number one is just getting started.
Meanwhile, Cahill could stay with Sinner, which would undoubtedly be a positive decision for the world number one.
But Cahill reversing his decision to leave could prove very difficult, with the duo having achieved huge success together so far.
