Tim Henman is looking forward to seeing which WTA player will win the Wimbledon title.
There are several players who have emerged as top contenders to lift the Venus Rosewater dish over the last several weeks.
Grass court specialists such as Tatjana Maria and Marketa Vondrousova have each won a title on grass in the buildup to Wimbledon and they will be dangerous opponents once the tournament begins.
But there is one player in particular who Henman wants to see succeed at Wimbledon and that is the reigning French Open champion, Coco Gauff.

Coco Gauff claimed her second Grand Slam title on the Parisian clay by defeating Aryna Sabalenka to win Roland Garros.
She lost just three clay court matches and the American will be aiming to replicate that form on the grass. But this is a surface on which the 21-year-old has struggled, and she has yet to win a tournament on grass.
Tim Henman, a former Wimbledon semi-finalist who will commentate on the action for the BBC this year, would love to see Gauff raise her level and succeed at SW19, after she made her name there as a 15-year-old by beating Venus Williams in 2019.
“You’ve got the best women players in the world and that’s led by Aryna Sabalenka, she’s number one in the world and she’s never won Wimbledon so she’ll be excited about her opportunities,” Henman said.
“I think Coco Gauff, I remember when Coco played as a 15-year-old because she was given a wildcard into qualifying, she qualified and then beat Venus Williams first round and it’s amazing to think that she’s been around for six years and she’s still only 21.
“She’s [the] French Open champion; she’s such a great competitor and she’s such a great ambassador for our sport. I’d love to see her win Wimbledon.”
What is Coco Gauff’s seeding for the Wimbledon Championships?
At the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Gauff will be seeded at number two.
This is her highest seeding at the tournament in her career so far, behind the world number one Aryna Sabalenka.
Gauff has some work to do if she wants to succeed at the All-England Club, where she has yet to go beyond the fourth round.
Gauff’s opening match defeat at the Berlin Open in the build-up to Wimbledon was not ideal for the two-time Grand Slam champion.
But Gauff is now at the tournament practicing ahead of her grass court Grand Slam commencing on Monday.
