The new top 10 in the ATP rankings have been confirmed after the Shanghai Masters concluded this weekend.

Jannik Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic to deny the Serb the chance to win his 100th career title and continue his excellent run of form this calendar year.

Sinner has won 65 of his 71 matches in 2024 and the Italian’s triumph in China was his seventh title of the season, becoming the youngest person to win the Shanghai Masters in the process.

To add to that, Sinner further cemented his place at the top of the leaderboard in the ATP’s latest rankings list.

There has been some change to the current list after the recent run of events though so, with that, let’s take a look at the ATP’s top 10 list.

Jannik Sinner remains on top as Taylor Fritz moves up by one spot

It’s no surprise to see the current top five listed as they are given their successes this season.

Sinner understandably leads by some distance in the rankings with a score of 11.920. Carlos Alcaraz is his closest challenger but some way off with a score of 7.120.

Alexander Zverev isn’t too far behind in third place with a score of 6.795 while Djokovic is breathing down his neck with 6.210. Daniil Medvedev (5.530) completes the top five.

The first notable change is to see that Taylor Fritz has moved up one space into sixth after reaching the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters, with Andrey Rublev dropping down one place into seventh.

Alex De Minaur enters ATP’s top 10 rankings

Only one new face has entered the top 10 list in the latest rankings update as Australian Alex De Minaur comes into the fold.

De Minaur has moved up two places and is ranked number nine, one place behind Casper Ruud, who jumps up to eighth.

Grigor Dimitrov completes the list in 10th, meaning there is no place for Stefanos Tsitsipas and Hubert Hurkacz, with the two placed 11th and 12th respectively.
