Jannik Sinner was able to get revenge over Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon after his defeat in the Roland Garros final.
Sinner and Alcaraz have a good relationship, despite being the top two ranked players on the ATP Tour and direct rivals for the biggest titles.
They have now played their first two Grand Slam finals against one another, with Alcaraz saving three championship points to beat Sinner at Roland Garros.
In a more one-sided final at Wimbledon, Sinner changed his tactics to beat Alcaraz in four sets on Centre Court.

Rennae Stubbs explains what Jannik Sinner learnt from his Roland Garros final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz
Sinner intentionally being more aggressive was noticed by former doubles world number one Rennae Stubbs, who pointed this out in a social media post.
While the match was still ongoing, Stubbs claimed that the serve was the biggest difference between Sinner and Alcaraz.
She wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Serving has been the difference so far. Big big big from Jannik and using way more aggressive and going for it. He knows he can’t hope to win, he learned that in Paris. Has to go for it and be the more aggressive player. Fantastic match so far!”
After the conclusion of the match, which saw Alcaraz’s 20-match winning streak at Wimbledon come to an end, Stubbs was full of praise for the new champion.
“What a great two weeks! What a great champion! After what he went through in losing the French Open final and the grace he showed in that defeat, to bounce back and win this title the way he did, absolutely extraordinary @janniksin and team.”
Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz Wimbledon final statistics
Sinner’s more aggressive game style against Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final is noticeable in the match statistics.
The Italian hit both 40 winners and 40 unforced errors, showing that Sinner was not holding back in his shots against Alcaraz.
Stubbs pointed out the serve as a real differential between the two players, with Sinner producing a higher first serve percentage, as well as a higher second serve win percentage.

Sinner now holds three of the four Grand Slam titles, as he looks ahead to his US Open title defence.
Both players will take a couple of weeks away from the matchcourt before potentially reigniting their rivalry at the Canadian Open in Toronto.
