Rennae Stubbs has named one player she expects to have a strong Indian Wells Masters campaign.
With the Middle Eastern swing drawing to a close at the end of the week attention will turn towards North America at the start of the ATP Masters 1000 season.
All players will aim to be in their best form by the time the action gets underway at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
The likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and the American players will be some of the biggest threats in the tournament, but Rennae Stubbs has another name in mind.

Rennae Stubbs tips Matteo Berrettini for solid Indian Wells campaign
There are several players who could succeed at Indian Wells with the suspension of Jannik Sinner, who can step up to challenge Alcaraz for his title.
Stubbs believes that man is Matteo Berrettini, who is building momentum following a run to the Qatar Open quarter-finals.
The Italian has suffered multiple injury concerns over the past two seasons, but he is back healthy and gradually discovering his best tennis.
On the Rennae Stubbs podcast, the six-time doubles Grand Slam champion thinks his game is well suited to the courts at Indian Wells. “I think Matteo is going to do really well in Indian Wells” he said.
“I think it’s a pretty decent court for him, it’s a bit slower, he can get around his backhand and hit the big forehand through any speed.
“His serve is huge on any court and I think he is mentally getting back to playing better.”
Where is Matteo Berrettini playing now?
Berrettini is competing at the Dubai Tennis Championships as he looks to build on his run to the last eight in Qatar.
He won his opening match against veteran Gael Monfils 7-5, 6-4 on Tuesday and as a result he is into the last 16.
The 2021 Wimbledon runner-up will take on Christopher O’Connell, who came through the qualifiers to reach the main draw.
The pair’s only previous meeting came in the opening round of the 2024 Shanghai Masters, which Berrettini won 7-6(9) 7-6(6).
