Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter have officially announced their engagement, and the messages of support have been flooding in.
De Minaur won the Ultimate Tennis Showdown Grand Final earlier this month to cap off a superb year, earning himself $421,800 in prize money.
Boulter meanwhile also hugely impressed, with the British number one joining her new fiancee De Minaur in winning two titles in 2024.
De Minaur and Boulter have helped each other progress on the court over the years, with their off-court relationship now reaching another level.
Their engagement announcement comes at a very intriguing time, with the duo potentially set to meet on the court at the United Cup.

Thanasi Kokkinakis reacts to Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter engagement
Focusing on their feats off the court, however, and De Minaur’s compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis was quick to message the pair.
Sharing the engagement on Instagram, Boulter wrote: “We’ve been keeping a small secret…”, with Kokkinakis commenting: “About damn time”.
And he hasn’t been the only tennis face to chime in, with Boulter’s fellow Briton’s Emma Raducanu and Laura Robson respectively writing: “Congrats!!” and “You cutiessss, best pre-season news ever”.
What does Katie Boulter think about playing against Alex de Minaur?
The 2025 United Cup has once again produced a Great Britain versus Australia clash, in a repeat of the 2024 group stages.
They reached the second round of Wimbledon in 2023 as a mixed doubles pairing, with Boulter not exactly excited about a reunion on the court in the opposite capacity.
“I wouldn’t say I was thrilled at the idea of playing him all over again,” she told Sky Sports. “Obviously, he’s a top 10 player and he knows how to play tennis, so there’s one side of it, and then there’s a personal side of it as well, which is difficult but also great for bragging rights.
“I am looking forward to the match of course, I think it’s going to be a great atmosphere. Obviously playing Australia is always going to be fun. It’s another opportunity for us, we’re definitely the underdogs, so lets put pressure on them.”
De Minaur meanwhile commented: “Yeah I don’t know how to explain it. It’s almost surreal that it’s just a whole year later and here we are again, basically, almost the same opponents.
“But yeah it’s going to be interesting once again, last year it was the case, and hopefully we can play some good tennis.”
