Serena Williams has impressed after footage was released of her recent practice session.

Williams recently practiced with Alycia Parks, only causing the rumors surrounding her potential comeback to ramp up further.

Tennis fans are impressed by Serena Williams training footage

Williams and Parks practiced at the start of last month, but the footage has only just been released on the latter’s Instagram story.

The 20 second video shows the two players trading groundstrokes, but particularly focuses on Parks.

However, there is a short bit at the end which closes in on Williams’ shots, and tennis fans appear impressed by what they have seen.

One person wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “WOW SHE MIGHT BE COMING FOR REAL!”

Another added, “Oh— Serena is looking FIT!”

The compliments kept coming for Williams, “She looks so good.”

“We deserve a treat in 2026. Serena looks good.”

Others looked ahead at what this could mean for Williams, with one suggesting that if her serve is up to scratch she could have an impact on the WTA Tour.

“If the serve is still there her having a successful comeback isn’t out of the question.”

One tennis fan made an even bigger claim, suggesting that Williams would be able to beat the top players in women’s tennis right now.

They wrote, “Serena beats the entire top 20 right now, no warm-up lol. Put her in the game.”

When could Serena Williams be returning to tennis?

There has been a lot of discussion about when Williams could return to tennis, as she is now eligible to compete again after re-entering the drug testing pool for the required amount of time.

Many have suggested that Wimbledon could be the ideal return for Williams, but another tennis fan thinks it could be even sooner than that.

They said, “Everyone is talking about Wimbledon, but I really think she has her eye on Roland Garros too. If that serve is there, and she’s actually fit, this gone be good lol.”

Williams has not played at Roland Garros since 2021, but there are nearly four months to go until the clay court major.

While it is still unconfirmed as to whether Williams will even return, it is also unclear as to what capacity that would be in, as it could just be for a return in doubles.

A doubles return could see Serena play with her older sister Venus at the US Open, as well as maybe an appearance in the revamped mixed doubles event.
