Following a challenging two months, Iga Swiatek has now hired a new coach.
There have been some concerns surrounding the World number one who has not played since the US Open quarter-finals in September.
Swiatek withdrew from the China Open due to personal reasons and did not travel to Wuhan to compete as she looked for a new coach after splitting with Tomasz Wiktorowski.
But with the season-ending WTA Finals on the horizon, the Pole has since confirmed the newest member of her team.

What do tennis fans make of Iga Swiatek’s new coach?
Two weeks after splitting with Wiktorowski, Iga Swiatek has now hired Wim Fissette as her new coach. The Belgian joins her team just weeks after parting ways with Naomi Osaka, who now works with Patrick Mouratoglou.
Fans have been digesting the news this Thursday morning and have been sharing their thoughts on social media platform X.

Iga Swiatek releases a statement after announcing new coach
Swiatek will now be coached by Fissette who had previously worked with Osaka, Simona Halep, Victoria Azarenka, Kim Clijsters, Petra Kvitova, and Angelique Kerber.
He guided four of those players to Grand Slam glory and the WTA Tour‘s top-ranked player will want to achieve similar success with the 44-year-old coach.
“I’m excited and motivated to start a new chapter,” Swiatek posted on Instagram regarding her new coach. “I’m happy to announce that Wim Fissette is joining our team. As you know, I’m preparing for the WTA Finals but my perspective is, as always, long-term, not short-term.
“I said many times that my career is a marathon for me, not a sprint and I’m working, operating and making decisions with this approach. I want to say that I’m very excited and looking forward to working with Wim.
“He seems to have a great attitude, vision and huge experience at the very top level of tennis. It’s always crucial to get to know each other better but we’re off to a good start and I can’t wait to compete soon.”
