Taylor Fritz won his first ATP singles title of the season at the BOSS Open in Stuttgart.
Fritz beat Alexander Zverev to win the ATP 250 tournament in Stuttgart, enabling him to overtake Jack Draper and return to world number four in the rankings.
This was a big victory for the American, with Fritz losing in the first round of Roland Garros before switching to grass courts.
Not only is it a breakthrough moment in the season of the US Open finalist, but it also means Fritz has now joined an exclusive group of ATP players.

Taylor Fritz becomes fourth active ATP player to win four grass court titles
Fritz has now won four grass court titles, with all of his other three victories coming at the Eastbourne International.
This means that Fritz is now one of four active ATP players who have won at least four titles on grass.
The 27-year-old has now joined Novak Djokovic (8), Matteo Berrettini (4) and Nicolas Mahut (4).
Djokovic is the only former Wimbledon champion from this list, with seven of his eight grass court titles coming at SW19.
Berrettini is a former Wimbledon finalist, and lost to Djokovic in the final of the 2021 tournament.
Although Mahut has never been inside the world’s top 30, he will always be part of Wimbledon history after playing the longest match in the tournament’s history against John Isner (11 hours and five minutes).
However, the 43-year-old will not be part of this list after the 2025 season as he will be retiring.
Carlos Alcaraz can join this list if he wins the Queen’s Club Championships this week, as he currently possesses three grass court titles.
ATP players with the most grass court titles in history
Djokovic leads the active list of ATP players with the most grass court titles, but sits in fifth in the all-time list.
That list is led by Roger Federer, who won a total of 19 grass court titles in his career.
This includes Federer winning eight Wimbledon titles, which is also more than any other man in history.
| Player | Total number of grass court titles | Number of Wimbledon titles |
| Roger Federer | 19 | 8 |
| Pete Sampras | 10 | 7 |
| Jimmy Connors | 9 | 2 |
| Stan Smith | 9 | 1 |
| Novak Djokovic | 8 | 7 |
| Rod Laver | 8 | 4 |
| John McEnroe | 8 | 3 |
| Andy Murray | 8 | 2 |
| Lleyton Hewitt | 8 | 1 |
| Ken Rosewall | 8 | 0 |
| Alex Metreveli | 8 | 0 |
Although Djokovic cannot catch Federer’s 19 grass court titles, he has the opportunity to equal his Wimbledon tally in 2025.
The ATP Tour, including Djokovic, will play at Wimbledon which gets underway on Monday, June 30.
