The Grand Slam champions in 2026 have already been predicted after they were split between four players this year.
It all started off with a first-time major winner, as Madison Keys beat Aryna Sabalenka to win the Australian Open.
World number one Sabalenka was beaten in another major final as Coco Gauff won the French Open for the first time.
Iga Swiatek triumphed at Wimbledon in dominant fashion, before Sabalenka eventually got her hands on another major trophy at the US Open.
This saw four different players winning Grand Slam titles, and Serena Williams’ former coach has predicted the same to happen again in 2026.

Rick Macci predicts four different women to win Grand Slams in 2025
Rick Macci knows what it takes for a player to win a Grand Slam title, having coached both Serena and Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick and Jennifer Capriati.
In a new post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Macci has made a big prediction about who could win Grand Slams in 2026.
Macci has backed Sabalenka, Swiatek and Gauff to add to their major collections, while picking 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva to win her first Grand Slam in 2026.
The 70-year-old also suggested that Sabalenka’s world number one may not be safe, as he predicted there to be ‘a major changing of the guard’.
Macci wrote, “2026 will be scrambled eggs with the WTA and Grand Slams. Look for many new players to vault into the top ten and Coco, Iga, Sab, and Mirra to grab a slam and touch number one. Fasten seatbelt as a major changing of the guard is near and it is next year.”
Who do you think can win a Grand Slam for the first time in 2026?
Mirra Andreeva’s best Grand Slam results
Macci is not the first person who has predicted Andreeva to win a Grand Slam in 2026, and she has been spoken about a lot since she made her breakthrough on the WTA Tour as a 16-year-old.
It has been another impressive season for Andreeva, who won Indian Wells and the Dubai Tennis Championships back-to-back as her first WTA 1000 titles.
However, Andreeva struggled in the latter stages of the 2025 season and was unable to qualify for the WTA Finals in singles.
The closest Andreeva has been to a Grand Slam title came when she reached the semifinals of the French Open in 2024.
| Grand Slams | Mirra Andreeva’s Win-loss Record | Mirra Andreeva’s Best Result |
| Australian Open | 6-2 (75%) | Fourth Round (2024 & 2025) |
| French Open | 11-3 (79%) | Semifinal (2024) |
| Wimbledon | 7-3 (70%) | Quarterfinal (2025) |
| US Open | 4-3 (57%) | Third Round (2025) |
Andreeva has been unable to get any closer to winning a Grand Slam title in 2025, but still reached the quarterfinals of both the French Open and Wimbledon.
The world number nine has produced her best Grand Slam results on the natural surfaces, and Andreeva will be hoping to better her record on the hard courts at the Australian Open in January.
