Sam Querrey discussed Novak Djokovic’s chances of winning the Olympic gold medal.
The tennis legend has claimed multiple titles throughout his illustrious tennis career but there is one major honour that has eluded him so far.
At the age of 37, time is running out for the World number two to become Olympic champion and Paris 2024 may serve as his final opportunity.
After Djokovic lost the Wimbledon final, he will be even more determined to claim glory in the French capital.

Djokovic wants to compete at the Olympics and the US Open following his comprehensive defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon.
Therefore, he will return to the Roland Garros, the venue of the clay court Grand Slam the French Open, to have one more shot at achieving his dream. Djokovic will arrive in Paris during what has been a challenging season where he has yet to win a title.
Despite having a season where he has experienced a dip in form and suffered injury, Querrey told the French Connection Podcast what he expects from Djokovic at the 2024 Paris Games.
“I think deep down he wants to win it. It’s the only thing he hasn’t accomplished. He wants to get on the list of four other players to have accomplished that feat. He hasn’t had a great year in terms of what he’s used to,” the American said.
“But he’s just reached the final of Wimbledon and bad year or not, a final of a grand slam is pretty impressive so he has got to have a little bit more confidence now than he did four or five months ago.
“I do think the Olympics, two out of three sets, I think everything in his tank he will lay it out there and try and get that gold medal because then he has everything.”

In Paris Djokovic will compete at the Olympic Games for the fifth and likely final time in his career.
His debut came at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, the year he claimed his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. He lost to Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals, but ended the campaign with a bronze medal.
Djokovic could only manage fourth place at London 2012, before being handed a nightmare draw of Juan Martin Del Potro in the opening round at Rio 2016.
Djokovic was left in tears following a 7-6, 7-6 defeat, but aimed for glory in the delayed Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
The Serbian reached the semi-finals, but lost a gruelling three-set match to Alexander Zverev, and suffered another defeat in the bronze medal match to Pablo Carreno Busta.
