Day six of Roland Garros 2024 sees the start of the third round, so The Tennis Gazette brings you the full French Open schedule, how to watch and all of the key information.

Rain has affected much of this year’s tournament but Roland Garros now rolls on to the next round. Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner are just two of the men’s players in action on day six. American Sebastian Korda will also face 2023 French Open semi-finalist Carlos Alcaraz.

More big-name players will also hit the clay courts with Daniil Medvedev aiming to continue his emergence as a potential champion at Roland Garros. The world No5 looked close to his best as the Russian thrashed Miomir Kecmanovic before the Serbian withdrew due to injury.

A second-round tie with Carballes Baena also proved to be no issue for Novak Djokovic as he walked into the third round. Aryna Sabalenka put her credentials to win the French Open on full display, too, to humble Moyuka Uchijima 6-2, 6-2 under the Court Philippe Chatrier roof.

Grigor Dimitrov will hope he again avoids the rain on day six of Roland Garros 2024. The 33-year-old escaped Thursday’s downpour to pip Fabian Marozsan 6-0, 6-3, 6-4. The Bulgarian 10th seed will face Belgium’s Zizou Bergs in one of the early day six ties at the French Open.

Key storylines to follow on day six of Roland Garros 2024

Day six will yield plenty of key storylines to follow at Roland Garros 2024 with Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Medvedev, Alcaraz and Sinner all continuing their endeavours to win the men’s title at the French Open. They will all look to lay down their marker for 2023 champion, Djokovic.

Alcaraz has already faced his third-round opponent at Roland Garros after taking a 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 win over Korda in their 2022 French Open last 32 tie. He also holds a 3-1 career record against the American, who beat the Spaniard at the ATP Masters 1,000 Monte Carlo in 2022.

The third round of Roland Garros 2024 also hands Pavel Kotov his chance at revenge against Sinner. They recorded the pair’s first career meeting at the ATP Masters 1,000 Madrid earlier this year. But Sinner won the last 32 affair 6-2, 7-5 and registered three aces in the meeting.
