Novak Djokovic is set to compete in just his fourth tournament of the season at Roland Garros.
The Serb has featured at the Australian Open, Indian Wells and the Italian Open so far this year, with his best result being a trip to the final at Melbourne Park.
Djokovic opted not to defend his Geneva Open title this week, meaning he will have played just one match on clay heading to Paris.
How concerned are you about Novak Djokovic heading into Roland Garros?
To make matters worse, the 38-year-old has been handed a difficult draw at Roland Garros, including a potential fourth-round clash with Casper Ruud.
Although his chances of capturing major number 25 may have decreased, Djokovic is set to clinch an incredible all-time record in the French capital.

Novak Djokovic to surpass Roger Federer at Roland Garros
When he features in his opening clash against home hope Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Djokovic will make his 82nd appearance in men’s singles at Grand Slams.
That tally is the most of any player in the Open Era, and one more than the previous record-holder, Federer, who made 81 appearances in Grand Slam main draws.
Tied with Federer is Feliciano Lopez on 81, and trailing him are Stan Wawrinka on 76 and Richard Gasquet.
Which round will Novak Djokovic make at the French Open?
The Serb made the semifinals in 2025…
Djokovic has made 21 appearances at Roland Garros throughout his career, and has emerged victorious on three separate occasions.
He first hoisted the title in 2016 and secured it again in both 2021 and 2023.

Novak Djokovic’s record against his first Roland Garros opponent
Djokovic will be experiencing an unknown in his opening match at Roland Garros against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, whom he has never faced before.
While not an opponent players want to see in the first round, Perricard hasn’t exactly had the most successful clay swing thus far.
He has featured in two tour-level clay-court competitions, the first of which was the Italian Open, where he was knocked out in the second round.
Following his short-lived run in Rome, he entered the Geneva Open, but fell in round one to Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Perricard is currently ranked 80th in the world, having been as high as 29th.
