Novak Djokovic has finally achieved a 100th ATP Tour title, having won the Geneva Open in Switzerland.
Djokovic accepted a Geneva Open wildcard, entering the ATP 250 tournament after back-to-back defeats.
He lost his opening matches at the Monte Carlo Masters and the Madrid Open, having just lost the Miami Open final.
Djokovic decided to skip the Italian Open following that run, but now has 100 career titles to his name after his latest triumph.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion, who was the second seed in Geneva, defeated sixth seed Hubert Hurkacz in the final.

Djokovic impressively came from behind to come out on top, winning their entertaining battle 5-7, 7-6(7-2), 7-6(7-2).
And his success represents tennis history, with the legendary figure having now won at least one ATP-level event for a 20th consecutive season.

As per OptaAce, he has become the first player in the Open Era to achieve the feat, overtaking the 19 of Rafael Nadal.
Nadal now occupies second spot in the all-time list, followed by Roger Federer, Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors on 15, 14 and 13 respectively.

Moreover, he has joined a very exclusive group with his latest triumph, which came after a gruelling three-hour, five-minute clash.
Djokovic is now just the third man to win 100 or more singles titles, after fellow icons Connors and Federer.

There was, however, a gentle reminder from former professional Rennae Stubbs after the latter statistic emerged.
She took to X to remind fans of the 100-plus titles that female players won, writing: “Don’t forget Steffi [Graf], Martina [Navratilova] and Chrissy [Evert]. Elite legends.

Djokovic does, however, have very little time to celebrate his stunning record, with the French Open having now arrived.
The veteran, who turned 38 during the Geneva Open, has been drawn to face Mackenzie McDonald in the first round.
