Nick Kyrgios could be in line for a return to tennis in the near future after sharing footage of a practice session.

Kyrgios thinks he is good for tennis on and off the court, with the controversial Australian having been limited to media duties in recent times.

The 29-year-old hasn’t played competitively since the Stuttgart Open last June, where Kyrgios suffered a first round loss to Wu Yibing.

He has been struggling with injury since then, although he did partner Naomi Osaka in a doubles exhibition match before the 2024 US Open.

Kyrgios offered to coach Coco Gauff after her early exit from the competition, but it seems the Australian is certainly not done with his playing career just yet.

Nick Kyrgios messages tennis fans as practice session footage emerges

Many fans will be desperate to see the 2022 Wimbledon finalist back on the court, with a return potentially drawing closer after he shared footage of a practice session on his Instagram.

Kyrgios shared a video of his serving, with the confident Australian writing the words: “Serve 101 – you’re welcome tennis fans.”

Would Nick Kyrgios be welcome back with open arms?

There will undoubtedly be a mixed reaction if and when Kyrgios makes a comeback to competitive tennis.

The controversial Australian rarely strays far from the limelight, with his commentary duties at recent events certainly not pleasing everyone.

Elsewhere, Kyrgios criticised Jannik Sinner’s escaped drugs ban, with the duo set for a tense meeting should they cross paths in the dressing room.

The former is, however, a joy to watch when fully fit and at his very best, as Wimbledon fans noticed close up during his 2022 final loss to Novak Djokovic.

Serbian star Djokovic would undoubtedly welcome Kyrgios back with open arms, with the pair having put their differences aside in recent times to become friends.
