Carlos Alcaraz shone again yesterday as he collected another Wimbledon title by beating Novak Djokovic on Centre Court.
The 2024 final saw the master take on the apprentice for the second successive year – with the outcome no different for the Serbian star.
If anything, the outcome was even more emphatic this year. Alcaraz blew Djokovic away in straight sets in a changing of the guard at The All England Club.
As Alcaraz shone on the grass at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios was enhancing his stock behind the glass in the commentary box.
After a fourth Grand Slam title win for the Spanish sensation, the Australian predicted how many major titles he might win during his career.

Well, the world really is the oyster for a man who only turned 21 this year. He’s now won two Wimbledon crowns and is the youngest to win a major on all three surfaces.
Kyrgios was summarising after the final on Centre Court and the talk turned to just how dominant Alcaraz can be in the future, predicting how many major titles he might win.
He said live on BBC One: “He has all of the shots and all of the talent but how he stayed composed after having three match points and recomposing himself and coming back in that tie break.
“I think the biggest enemy that Carlos Alcaraz will have will be his body. How he can manage his health and longevity moving forward, I think he can get upwards of 15 slams easily.”
Alcaraz could take every record going
Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam titles but has played in an era where he has to contend with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and even Andy Murray in their prime.
That level of competition won’t be there for Alcaraz and that makes it quite scary just how dominant the Spanish player could be.
People will point to Jannik Sinner as someone who could compete with him and he was successful at the Australian Open.
However, he has only won one Grand Slam thus far and he’s already chasing Alcaraz who now has four.
Not too many of the other top players have even claimed one major prize in the game yet and that makes the concept of Alcaraz particularly scary.
Very few have done to Djokovic what Alcaraz did yesterday and he could be about to blow the field out of the water in the coming years.
