Mirra Andreeva can become part of tennis history at Wimbledon this year.
Andreeva became a Grand Slam champion at Roland Garros, and is the 10th youngest woman in history to win a major singles title at 19 years old.
The Russian teenager will be looking to continue her momentum during the grass court season, with Andreeva playing the Bad Homburg Open ahead of Wimbledon.
Andreeva has never surpassed the quarter-finals at Wimbledon before, but she could achieve something that has not been done in 11 years if she wins the title this year.

Mirra Andreeva could become the first woman to achieve rare feat since Serena Williams
After winning her first Grand Slam, Andreeva now has the opportunity to do something known as the ‘Channel Slam’, which is when a player wins Roland Garros and Wimbledon back-to-back.
This is something that only seven women have achieved before in the Open Era, with Serena Williams the last to do it in 2015.
How many Grand Slams titles does Mirra Andreeva have at the same age Aryna Sabalenka is now (28)?
Williams achieved this twice in her career, with a significant 13-year gap in between her two Channel Slam triumphs in 2002 and 2015.
Some of the other names to achieve this feat include Billie Jean King, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova.
However, none of them have achieved it as many times as Steffi Graf, who won Roland Garros and Wimbledon back-to-back five times in her career.
Jasmine Paolini came closest to achieving this most recently, but finished as runner-up in both the Roland Garros and Wimbledon finals in 2024, and Andreeva will now be hoping to go all the way.

How many men have won Roland Garros and Wimbledon back-to-back?
Achieving the Channel Slam has been an even rarer feat on the ATP Tour, with only six men having done so in the Open Era.
The latest of those is Carlos Alcaraz, who won Roland Garros and Wimbledon back-to-back in 2024, and was one win away from doing so again last year.
Who is the greatest male tennis player of all time?
All three members of ‘The Big Three’ have also completed the Channel Slam, with Rafael Nadal doing so twice in 2008 and 2010.
However, Bjorn Borg is the only man to achieve this rare feat three times, having done so in consecutive years between 1978 and 1980.
| ATP players who have won Roland Garros and Wimbledon back-to-back in the Open Era | Year/s they achieved this |
| Rod Laver | 1969 |
| Bjorn Borg | 1978, 1979 & 1980 |
| Rafael Nadal | 2008 & 2010 |
| Roger Federer | 2009 |
| Novak Djokovic | 2021 |
| Carlos Alcaraz | 2024 |
Alexander Zverev won Roland Garros this year and will be attempting to become the seventh man to complete the Channel Slam at Wimbledon.
This would be somewhat of a surprise, as Zverev has never been past the fourth round of Wimbledon before and has not won a single title at any grass court tournament.
