Madison Keys has reached another Grand Slam quarter-final, having just knocked Hailey Baptiste out of the French Open.
Rennae Stubbs has praised Keys’s composure at this stage of her career, with the American the current Australian Open champion.
Keys defeated WTA number one Aryna Sabalenka to win the Australian Open earlier this year, representing her maiden Grand Slam title.
World number eight Keys has backed Jannik Sinner to win the French Open, but she is now fully focused on progressing in the women’s event.
She continues her theme of playing Americans at the French Open this year, with Coco Gauff her quarter-final opponent.

Madison Keys makes Hailey Baptiste rankings prediction after beating her at the French Open
The match comes after she knocked out compatriots Sofia Kenin and Baptiste in rounds three and four respectively.
She spoke highly of her latest opponent after the match, with Keys saying of Baptiste on TNT Sports: “I knew going into this match that Hailey is a phenomenal tennis player.

“I truly think she could be top 10. I think she is a fantastic tennis player. She serves really well, she has so many tangibles, she knows how to mix up the pace and inject pace.
“I knew that I was going to have to play really well today, especially returning. She has such a great serve. And I knew I was not going to get a ton of opportunities in her service games. So when I did get the opportunities I really tried to just capitalise on those.”
Hailey Baptiste troubled Madison Keys long before French Open meeting
It looked like a routine win for Keys in terms of the scoreboard, with the seventh seed overcoming Baptiste in straight sets.
But it was clearly a hard-fought battle for the 30-year-old, who defeated the world number 70 6-3, 7-5 on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

The pair are becoming increasingly familiar with one another, having now met four times on the WTA Tour.
Now 23, a 17-year-old Baptiste defeated Keys in Washington D.C. back in 2019, securing her first career win over a top 20 opponent.
But the latter has since turned their head-to-head record right around after that first meeting, emerging victorious in their last three matches.
Baptiste currently occupies her career-high ranking of 70, but is certain to really improve upon that figure in the very near future.
She enjoyed a superb run in Paris before falling to fellow American Keys, having knocked out Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Nao Hibino and 23rd seed Beatriz Haddad Maia.
A first WTA singles title has yet to be clinched, but she should take great confidence from an impressive Grand Slam journey, ended only by the current Australian Open champion.
