Jack Draper will be out of action until at least the conclusion of Roland Garros due to injury.
The Briton, who spent five months sidelined with bone bruising in his arm after the 2025 US Open, suffered another setback at the 2026 Barcelona Open by injuring his knee.
Draper then withdrew from Madrid, Rome, Hamburg and Roland Garros, ruling himself out of the entirety of the clay season.
Where will Jack Draper be ranked at the end of 2026?
Will he return to the top 10 or are you predicting him to drop down?
Prior to the physical struggles, the 24-year-old was beginning to find some form, having beaten Novak Djokovic en route to the Indian Wells quarterfinals.
Draper is one of several top stars tipped to close the gap on Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner at the top of the rankings, and former US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro thinks he can still do just that.

Juan Martin del Potro comments on Jack Draper’s potential
Asked in an interview with Tennis 365 if Draper is capable of catching Sinner and Alcaraz, Del Potro said: “Yeah, why not?
“I know how difficult it is to deal with injuries. But he has the game. He did it (challenge Alcaraz and Sinner) already.
“So, if his body allows him to play without pain and he starts to get confidence again in his body, I think he can be one of these guys who you have to take care of in the draw.”
How concerned are you that injuries could disrupt Jack Draper from reaching his full potential?
Another former US Open champion, Gabriela Sabatini, added: “He has some great potential. I mean, he’s already a great player. We have seen that at the [2024] US Open.
“He can do a lot of damage with his game, so hopefully he will be okay with his injuries. And I’m sure he’s another player who will be there at the top.”

Jack Draper’s drop in the rankings so far this season
Draper reached a career-high of fourth in the world last year, but saw his ranking drop when he was out with an injury.
He started 2026 placed 10th and dropped even further while he remained out, but eventually returned to tour-level action at the Dubai Tennis Championships in February.
Draper saw a small increase in his ranking after winning a match in Dubai, going from 13th to 12th, but a failed title defence in Indian Wells meant he dropped outside the top 20 for the first time since August 2024.
Having made the final in Madrid last year, missing the tournament this year resulted in Draper’s ranking plummeting to 50th in the world; a position that puts his seed status in major doubt for Wimbledon.
In the live ATP rankings, Draper is currently 73rd in the world.
