Juan Martin del Potro has been keeping close tabs on tennis despite retiring from the sport late last year.

Del Potro was in Novak Djokovic’s box at the Miami Open, with the duo having played against one another for the former’s farewell in December.

Djokovic received an emotional message from Del Potro after their meeting, having played out a fantastic rivalry during their careers.

The Argentine won one Grand Slam title during his time on the court, superbly triumphing at the 2009 US Open.

Del Potro overcame fellow legend Roger Federer in New York that year, before losing the 2018 US Open final to Djokovic in his only other Grand Slam final.

Gael Monfils was labelled the fastest, with Rafael Nadal and Federer named as having the highest tennis IQ and being the most elegant respectively.

How many Grand Slam titles would Juan Martin del Potro’s ultimate player have?

It’s fair to say that Del Potro and Sabatini did a fine job in building the ultimate player, which involves a mix of legends and current stars.

Despite being in the early stages of his career, Alcaraz has clearly left a mark on the tennis world, with the 21-year-old certain to continue improving.

Monfils meanwhile is still going strong at the age of 38, even if his speed has declined somewhat compared to his prime.

And while he and Del Potro were not on the same level for Grand Slam wins as the Big Three, they would still play very crucial roles in helping form what would be a formidable ATP player.
