Jim Courier has suggested Linda Noskova will gain great strength from her battling Wimbledon final win over Karolina Muchova.
Noskova remarkably missed five championship points in a dramatic clash at SW19, which she won 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.
The 21-year-old looked set to cruise to victory at 6-2, 5-2, before Muchova claimed five games in a row to force a deciding set in their Wimbledon final.
But Noskova held on to beat Muchova, with her resilience on Centre Court now drawing praise from former world number one Courier.

Speaking on Tennis Channel after the Wimbledon final, Courier said of the champion: “She’s going to take so much from that piece of this magical moment for her.
“That’s going to embolden her I would think the rest of the way. Because she knows she’s faced down one of the toughest moments that you can have.
“I remember back in Roland Garros years ago, the Argentine Guillermo Coria, he had some match points. Wasn’t able to get it. And then his career was never quite the same after that, didn’t win that match.
“It’s rare when a player has match point, a championship point at a major and doesn’t win, but that can change the course of your entire career.
“Fortunately, it’s a happy story for her, and it’s going to kind of give her even more strength I think.”
It truly was a tremendous show of determination and mental strength, although Muchova also deserves praise for taking the match to a third set when she was seemingly out of the contest.
And it helped produce a fantastic spectacle on Centre Court, with the fans really appreciating the efforts of the Czech duo.

Martina Navratilova states what makes Linda Noskova’s Wimbledon title ‘more special’
Nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova has also shared her take on the final, which she attended in the Royal Box.
The Czech-born legend said: “Scar tissue can develop pretty easily. No scar tissue can develop more easily than losing this kind of a match.
“So the fact that Noskova was able to keep it together in the third set, it makes it that much more meaningful.
“I think it would have been almost like, well Karolina didn’t play that well, I played well, but it was kind of easy at the end. No it wasn’t easy and it just makes it that much more special I think.”
It represents a maiden Grand Slam title for the 21-year-old, who was emotional after clinching the Venus Rosewater Dish.
Along with that prestigious prize, she has earned £3.6million in prize money for her efforts, which will push her to seventh in the WTA rankings, her career-high.
