Iga Swiatek has suffered a huge shock at the Italian Open, losing her third round meeting with Danielle Collins.
Swiatek could play another event before the French Open, with the Grand Slam getting underway in Paris later this month.
The Pole has won the last three French Open titles, but is expected to suffer a WTA rankings drop after her exit at the Italian Open.
American ace Collins defeated Swiatek 6-1, 7-5 in the round of 32, with their meeting last one hour and 44 minutes.
Swiatek had received a bye in round one of the WTA 1000 tournament, where the five-time Grand Slam champion was the second seed.

Jim Courier shocked by Iga Swiatek stat in Italian Open loss to Danielle Collins
She beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-1, 6-0 before losing to Collins, with former world number one Jim Courier left shocked by one area of her game in particular.
Speaking on the Tennis Channel Live Podcast, he said: “This was a match where the head-to-head was very much in Swiatek’s favour.
“But Collins has that striking capabilities and she was playing high risk, high awesome level tennis and there is nothing anyone can do, let alone Swiatek, who can do as much as anybody on this surface.
“Second serve points for the day. Collins won 21 out of 27 of Swiatek’s second serves. She just absolutely dominated that. That is as bad as I have ever seen that stat look for Iga.
“It was a lot of changing direction and keeping her off her front foot and Iga was just a passenger for much of this match. Collins was just awesome all day long.”
