Jessica Pegula has identified the tournament in which to make her comeback from injury.
The American has not played since April’s Billie Jean Cup qualifiers, where she won two matches to help Team USA defeat Belgium.
Her injury has forced her to miss the upcoming French Open, but she aims to be fit and firing for the start of the grass court season.
Just days after announcing she will not compete at the clay court Grand Slam, the 30–year-old has confirmed which event will host her first action in over a month.
Which tournament will be the scene of Jessica Pegula’s return?
Pegula is set to return on the grass, where she has to consistently produce her best tennis.
In an effort to change this, she plans to play a full grass court season for the first time in her career and that will start in The Netherlands’ Rosmalen Grass Court Championships.
“I think I am going to play s-Hertogenbosch in Holland,” Pegula told The French Connection Podcast. “It was actually the first grass court tournament I ever played and I don’t think I have been back since.
“I’m excited though because I haven’t ever played a full grass court season. It will be good because I think my game is more suited to the grass anyway.”

What is Jessica Pegula’s grass court record?
Throughout her career, Pegula has played 41 matches on grass courts, and has won 23 of them. This gives the player a winning percentage of 56.1%.
She has yet to win a title on the grass, with all four of her championship wins coming on hard courts. Pegula achieved her best result at Wimbledon in 2023, where she reached the quarter-finals.
She had a golden opportunity to reach the semi-finals of a major for the first time in her career, when she was up 4-1 and love-30 in the final set against Marketa Vondrousova.
But the 24-year-old rallied to win the next five games and win the match, before going to win her first ever Grand Slam title.
