Jessica Pegula enjoyed another successful year on the WTA Tour in 2025, but her focus now turns to 2026.

Pegula is ranked sixth in the world heading into the 2026 season, and is joined by three other Americans in the top 10.

Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova and Madison Keys are all also entering the new year ranked within the WTA top 10.

But it is the Australian Open rather than the world rankings that will be their main focus right now, with Keys having won the event in 2025.

Who will win the 2026 Australian Open?

All four American players will be eyeing singles success in Melbourne, but Pegula will also have doubles glory on her mind.

She has entered the event alongside fellow American McCartney Kessler, who is currently ranked 31st in the world.

Kessler won two WTA singles titles in 2025 to take her career tally to three, having also clinched her first doubles title.

The 26-year-old lifted the trophy in Montreal with compatriot Coco Gauff, who has previously played doubles with Pegula.

What is Jessica Pegula’s WTA doubles history?

Pegula boasts an impressive doubles CV alongside her singles success, with seven titles won in her career so far.

The American star has reached number one in the doubles world rankings, and has won almost 250 matches.

She made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open in the format in 2023, having gone one step further at the 2022 French Open.

Pegula and fellow American Coco Gauff reached the doubles final in Paris, but lost out to home favorites Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic.

While Pegula will be keen to enjoy a lengthy run alongside Kessler, she will be desperate to succeed in singles.

The 31-year-old has never made it beyond the quarterfinals in Melbourne, having reached that stage on three occasions.

Last time out, however, Pegula suffered a disappointing third round exit, with the seventh seed losing to Olga Danilovic.
