Jannik Sinner’s run at the Wimbledon championships in 2025
Sinner tore through his first three matches at the 2025 Wimbledon championships, having beaten Luca Nardi, Aleksandar Vukic and Pedro Martinez.
However, in round four, Sinner was on the verge of going out when faced with Grigor Dimitrov, who was up two sets in their clash.
Dimitrov was a set away from beating Sinner and reaching the quarterfinals, but suffered a pectoral injury at 2-2 in the third.
Sinner then won his quarterfinal and semifinal matches against Ben Shelton and Novak Djokovic respectively in straight sets to reach the final, where he met Alcaraz.
Alcaraz, who was bidding to three-peat at Wimbledon, won the opening set in their clash, but Sinner fought back to clinch the trophy.
