Jannik Sinner has stormed to another ATP Tour title after winning his China Open final against Learner Tien.
World number two Sinner defeated Tien 6-2, 6-2 in Beijing, securing his third ATP Tour title of the 2025 season.
The four-time Grand Slam champion needed just 72 minutes to overcome the American, who was playing in his first tour-level final.
Tien has been backed to break the top 30 amid his superb rise on the ATP Tour, with the 19-year-old currently ranked 52nd.
But he was no match for Sinner in their China Open final, with the former world number one lifting the trophy less than four weeks after losing the US Open final.

Jannik Sinner tells Learner Tien what to do after beating him in the China Open final
Sinner is now a 21-time ATP champion, but he made sure to celebrate the fantastic run of his opponent immediately after the victory.
Speaking on court, Sinner said of Tien: “It’s a very special place for me but I would like to start with Learner and your whole team.
“I know you have a great team behind you, you are showing throughout the whole season what a talent you are.
“Just keep going, you are playing incredible tennis and I wish you only the best for the rest of your season and your whole career. Hopefully we can share some other moments like this in the future.”
The success marked an act of revenge for Sinner, who lost the 2024 China Open final to fierce rival Carlos Alcaraz.
Learner Tien has message for Jannik Sinner after losing to him in the China Open final
Sinner battled past Alex de Minaur in the China Open semifinals to land another final spot, having also beaten Marin Cilic, Terence Atmane and Fabian Marozsan.
But Tien arguably endured a much trickier route to the final, which included a semifinal victory over Daniil Medvedev.
The teenager also defeated Francisco Cerundolo, Flavio Cobolli and Lorenzo Musetti during his stunning run in Beijing.
And he also showed his class without a racket after his final defeat to Sinner, saying of the Italian: “Congrats to Jannik on a great week.
“Another title. It was great to share the court with you today and good luck for the rest of the season.”
Both players rapidly turn their attentions to the ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai, where Sinner has received a bye into round two.
Tien meanwhile starts in the opening round against Miomir Kecmanovic, with his confidence set to be at an all-time high heading into the tournament.
Such confidence will have taken an added boost from Sinner’s message, with the Italian clearly impressed by the young star.
