Jannik Sinner will enter the Wimbledon championships as the first seed for the second consecutive year, as he looks to capture the title for the first time.
His campaign at the All England Club comes just under a month after his loss to Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open final.
Alcaraz defeated Sinner in a five-set classic that lasted five hours and 29 minutes, despite the Italian having three match points in the fourth set.
Since then, the world number one has had a difficult grass swing, entering just one tournament, the Halle Open, where he crashed out in the second round to Alexander Bublik.
Ahead of the championships starting, Sinner took to Centre Court to practice with Daniil Medvedev, where he reflected on his loss in Paris and said how he was feeling about his grass-court game.

Speaking about the Roland Garros final during his practice session with Medvedev, Sinner said: “Obviously, I was very disappointed. It was a tough loss for me, tough days.
“But then, in the other way, I understood that it’s a huge honour to be a part of this match.
“People are going to remember the names of who won and who lost, but they’re going to remember the match.
“Me being a part of this match, it’s amazing, and it still gives me good feelings, because it shows I have improved in the last year on that surface.
“It’s all about the process. I’m happy with what I’m doing on that surface. I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do here on the grass, and yeah, it’s already in the past.”
On his grass-court game, he said: “My improvement, especially on this grass, has gone very well, to be honest.
“When I came here the first time, I couldn’t really understand how to play this surface. You know, when you’re young, every year is very important.
“And yeah, this year I definitely feel much more comfortable; it’s going in the right direction.”

In his first round matchup at Wimbledon, Sinner will face compatriot Luca Nardi and will likely come up against Aleksandar Vukic in round two.
In pursuit of progressing to the quarter-final, the 23-year-old could see his third and fourth round opponents come in the form of Denis Shapovalov and Tommy Paul.
Should he advance to the last eight, Sinner may find himself in another all-Italian affair with 2024 semi-finalist Lorenzo Musetti.
The final-four stage could prove difficult for him, with Jack Draper and Novak Djokovic standing in his path to a maiden Wimbledon final.
