Jannik Sinner continued his indoor dominance with a ruthless run at the Paris Masters, where he lifted the trophy.
Sinner has returned to world number one on the ATP Tour following his victory in the French capital, which culminated in a final triumph over Felix Auger-Aliassime, his 26th successive indoor win.
He has replaced Carlos Alcaraz at the summit after his Paris Masters title, with the duo now set to battle it out for the year-end number one ranking at the ATP Finals.
Sinner enters the year-end tournament as the defending champion, although his five ATP titles for 2025 are behind the eight of Alcaraz.
The pair combined to win each of the four Grand Slam titles in 2025, just as the duo did in the 2024 season.

Jannik Sinner praised for having a skill which many people may forget about
It is, however, Sinner who has momentum on his side heading into Turin, having just won the Paris Masters without dropping a set.
Analysing the Italian in the aftermath of his stunning run, former player Ryan Harrison said on Sky: “His speed is so underrated.
“You see him playing so much offence that it’s easy to forget when he does have to move around and play defence, he has the ability to scramble with the best of the best.
“The in and out of the corners is unlike anyone else, besides maybe one or two other guys, Carlos and maybe a couple of other guys you could put in that conversation.
“But if you look at the way he moves out the corners he gets out of there quickly, so that allows him to recover and get back on offence so quickly in the point.”
Jannik Sinner leads the way in all three key ATP statistical areas
Not only is Sinner back on top of the world rankings, but he remarkably leads the way on the ATP Tour in each of its three key statistical areas.
The ATP Tour ranks its serve leaders, return leaders and under pressure leaders, and the Italian sits at the summit of each list.
| Rank | Player | Return rating | % 1st serve return points won | % 2nd serve return points won | % return games won | % break points converted |
| 1 | Jannik Sinner | 171.1 | 33.7% | 58.4% | 33.6% | 45.4% |
| 2 | Carlos Alcaraz | 164.4 | 34.9% | 53.9% | 31.5% | 44.1% |
| 3 | Alex de Minaur | 158.3 | 31.7% | 54.6% | 28.8% | 43.2% |
| 4 | Tommy Paul | 157.8 | 31.6% | 53.5% | 27.9% | 44.8% |
| 5 | Francisco Cerundolo | 156.9 | 33.2% | 52.4% | 28.3% | 43.0% |
And that should be a real worry for the rest of the ATP Tour, with Sinner having really stepped up his game in recent times.
More worrying is the very possible scenario of the Italian becoming even better, with Alcaraz seemingly the only player able to challenge him at this moment in time.
