Jannik Sinner reached his first Wimbledon final in emphatic fashion.
The world number one was in danger of suffering an early exit against Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round.
This was until 34-year-old Dimitrov suffered a pectoral injury when leading by two sets and was forced to retire from the match.
Sinner took his opportunity by easing past Ben Shelton in the quarter-finals, before securing a fifth successive win over Novak Djokovic to reach Sunday’s Wimbledon final.

For the third time in their careers, Sinner and Djokovic squared off at Wimbledon.
The Serbian won the previous two encounters, but the ATP’s world number one put an end to that streak in blistering fashion.
Jannik Sinner stormed into a 4-1 lead in the first set before taking it 6-3, and the second set played out in a similar manner.
Djokovic rallied and opened up a 3-0 lead to start the third, but Sinner quickly erased the deficit and secured six of the next seven games to complete a dominant victory.
After Sinner beat Djokovic, he took to Instagram to acknowledge a special victory and share some kind words for the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
“What an honour to reach the Wimbledon final,” the three-time Grand Slam champion wrote. “Huge respect to Novak Djokovic.”

For the second successive Grand Slam, Sinner will face Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
The pair have established themselves as the leading men in this new era of tennis and their streak of sharing the majors between them is set to continue.
Sinner and Alcaraz enthralled crowds with their epic French Open final just a month ago. Fans will be expecting another classic, and Sinner is hoping he and Alcaraz can deliver once again.
“We saw the last final – you never know [what will happen],” the reigning Australian and US Open champion said.
“Hopefully it’s going to be a good match like the last one, I don’t know if it can be better because I don’t think it’s possible. But we will do our best.”
