Sinner overcame Zizou Bergs in his first Paris Masters match, and the Italian will be hoping to win a Masters 1000 event for the first time in 2025 after losing in two finals.
Sinner reacted to Alcaraz losing to Norrie, and now he will be fully focused on regaining his world number one spot, which he lost after the US Open.

There seems to be no end to Sinner’s talents, and now he could be about to make ATP Tour history.
The world number two currently sits top of the pile when it comes to service games won and return games won for the calendar year of 2025.
No player has ever finished the year in top spot for both of those categories for a single calendar year, and ultimately, history is very close to being accomplished.

How Jannik Sinner can end the year as the world number one
Following Alcaraz’s exit from the Paris Masters, Sinner will be eyeing the number one spot again.
Sinner will return to the summit with a win in the French capital – at least in the short term.
Next week, the points from the 2024 ATP Finals will come off, and even if he returns to the top spot, he will lose it to Alcaraz a week later.
It does make the battle very exciting for the end-of-year number one spot, with Sinner now back in the mix.
If Sinner wins in Paris, Alcaraz will need 450 points at the ATP Finals, which would mean Alcaraz needing to reach the final after winning at least one of his group stage matches.
Whatever happens, it’s been a stunning year for both players, and this rivalry looks like one set to dominate the sport for years to come.
