Jannik Sinner has enjoyed phenomenal success this season, with further silverware still on the cards.
Fans had mixed reactions to Sinner’s scheduling thoughts, with many top players having criticised the busy season so far.
But world number one Sinner has come through relatively unscathed, and moreover has been hugely successful.
He set out his intentions from the very beginning, coming from behind to defeat Daniil Medvedev in the Australian Open final.
Sinner then clinched a second Grand Slam of 2024 with his US Open final win over home favourite Taylor Fritz.

Jannik Sinner summarises his season after Australian Open and US Open wins
Fritz praised Sinner’s serving after their clash at Flushing Meadows in New York, which the Italian won in straight sets.
The world number one currently has six titles to his name in 2024, with Sinner now summarising his season so far on Tennis TV.
“This season has been amazing,” said Sinner. “A lot of wins, a lot of matches played with not so many tournaments in my schedule, which I managed then to practise the body in the right way.
“Look, I’m just very happy to be in the position I am right now. The season is not over, there are some very important tournaments coming up so hopefully I will be ready.
“One of my main goals for sure now is the year-end finals in Turin, this is a very special tournament for me.
“After there is the Davis Cup and so many things to come, so I’m happy, but still, we try to improve even if it is the last part of the season and then we see how it goes.”
Jannik Sinner survives China Open scare to reach second round
It’s a worrying thought for the rest of the ATP Tour players that Sinner has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
He already has his sights set on individual success at the ATP Finals, and indeed team glory for Italy at the Davis Cup Finals.
Star man Sinner is set to play a key role for his team in Malaga in November, with Italy looking to defend their title.
The 23-year-old did, however, get a scare from Nicolas Jarry in their China Open first round clash, with the Chilean winning the first set.
But the top seed recovered from that opening set loss to overcome his opponent 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 and secure a spot in the second round in Beijing.
