Jannik Sinner has done something no other player has been able to in four years during win over Daniil Medvedev at the Six Kings Slam

Jannik Sinner has now won eight of his last nine meetings with Daniil Medvedev after beating him at the Six Kings Slam.

Medvedev earned $1.5million despite losing to Sinner at the Six Kings Slam, with the Italian easing past the Russian 6-0, 6-3.

The duo only just met in the Shanghai Masters quarter-finals, where the world number one came out on top before going on to lift the trophy.

Medvedev suffered the same outcome against Sinner in the US Open quarter-finals, although the Russian did win their meeting at that stage at Wimbledon.

Their latest clash won’t count towards their ATP Tour head-to-head record, however, which is currently tied at seven-all.

On paper, Medvedev may not be too happy with the manner of his latest loss, although he may not care too much given his earnings.

During the 68-minute win, however, Sinner became the first man to bagel Medvedev since 2020, according to The Tennis Letter.

Medvedev will be desperate to say goodbye to Sinner in 2024, with their battles this year having been dominated by the world number one.

And it all kicked off in dramatic fashion, with the Italian having staged a phenomenal comeback win in their 2024 Australian Open final.

Having lost the first two sets 3-6, 3-6 in Melbourne, Sinner fought back with 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 sets to clinch his first Grand Slam title.

The Russian got his revenge with his own five-set win at Wimbledon, only for the Italian to get his own back in four sets at the US Open.

Sinner set up a semi-final clash with Novak Djokovic at the Six Kings Slam with his latest victory, with Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz meeting in the other semi-final in Riyadh.

Veterans Djokovic and Nadal earned automatic spots in the final four, with Alcaraz having beaten Holger Rune in their quarter-final clash.
