Jannik Sinner is once again in the winner’s circle after beating Taylor Fritz to win the ATP Finals in Turin.
The 23-year-old will finish the year of 2024 as the comfortable number one at the top of the rankings.
Sinner beat Fritz in straight sets in a repeat of the 2024 US Open final and he once again got the better of the American.
The Italian does appear to have Fritz’s number right now as he was rarely tested during the final in Turin.
Sinner has been in truly fine form during 2024 and has claimed his first two Grand Slam victories during the season.
Despite the quality of Carlos Alcaraz and even Novak Djokovic who is still playing on the tour, Sinner has truly come to the fore in 2024.

It’s been a truly stunning year for Sinner.
He’s never let up from January when he claimed his first major at the Australian Open and has simply kept his foot to the metal.
Sinner still has the Davis Cup left to play this year but this put a nice cap on his singles participation during the year.
Although Sinner has shared the major titles with Alcaraz this year, Robson has shared what she thinks the Italian has done so much better.
She told Sky Sports Tennis: “It’s almost unheard of. Djokovic a few years ago is the last time we saw a season like this, one of those where you just look unbeatable out there, where players feel lost against you where they feel like they overplay and they get so few chances throughout a match.
“It’s so impressive how he doesn’t have the dips. If you think about Alcaraz and how much he can go up and down in a match and that’s part of his charm in a way but we haven’t really seen that from Sinner this year.
Sinner can truly dominate the ATP tour in 2025
Given that he’s several thousand points clear at the top of the world rankings, more dominance is unthinkable.
But, that is the harsh reality facing the rest of the tour if Sinner can stay in this sort of form.
The likes of Alcaraz, Djokovic and even Fritz have work to do if they’re to stop the man of the moment Sinner from claiming every tournament that he enters.
It’s quite sensational that nobody has managed to beat Sinner in straight sets all year and that will be a record that he’s extremely proud of.
A rivalry between Alcaraz and Sinner looks to be in the making and 2025 could be a seriously good one for the ATP Finals winner.
Defending his Australian Open title looks like the first priority for Sinner and he’s going to be taking so much confidence into next year.
