Jannik Sinner has completed another stunning season on the ATP Tour, with his focus now turning to 2026.

Carlos Alcaraz was the year-end number one, but Sinner was close behind in second, having won six titles in 2025.

The ATP number two defeated his fierce rival in the Wimbledon final, but also lost to Alcaraz in the French Open and US Open finals.

Sinner did, however, also claim another Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, where he beat Alexander Zverev in the final.

Jannik Sinner looks back on highs and lows of 2025 season

Italian star Sinner will return at the Australian Open, where the 24-year-old is the two-time defending champion.

Before that, however, he has issued an end-of-year message on Instagram, saying in a video message: “Guys, what a year it has been.

“Some highs that felt incredible, and some lows that were very difficult to accept. But throughout this whole year, I don’t see only results. I see big lessons.

“I’m really thankful for my whole team, my family, and all of you guys, for all the support you gave me throughout the whole year, it really means the world to me.

“For now, I wish everyone a Happy New Year, celebrate it with the people you love, and see you all very soon again on the court. Ciao Ciao.”

Novak Djokovic thanks fans after season ‘to remember’ in 2025

Like Sinner, Novak Djokovic has looked back on his season, during which he also achieved fantastic success.

He didn’t quite reach the heights that the Italian managed, but the Serbian did clinch a 100th career ATP title.

Djokovic lifted the trophy in Geneva immediately after his 38th birthday, and added the Athens title to that victory later in the year for number 101.

Who will win the 2026 Australian Open?

The 24-time Grand Slam champion wrote of his latest season on his Instagram: “2025: game, set and wrapped.

“A year (and century) to remember. Thank you to every single one of you for your support.”

Djokovic will return to tennis at the Adelaide International, which he will use as preparation for another Australian Open.

That will represent Djokovic’s 81st Grand Slam appearance, but a 25th title will likely be the only record on his mind in Melbourne.
