Jack Draper will be one of the top-ranked players across the grass court season including Wimbledon.
Draper has been called a future major contender after enjoying a breakout season in 2025.
This has enabled the Briton to reach a career-high ranking of world number four, helped by Draper’s run to the Indian Wells title.
The 23-year-old will now switch his attention to the grass court season, beginning at the ATP 500 Queen’s Club Championships.

Jamie Murray gives his verdict over Jack Draper’s chances of winning both Wimbledon and Queen’s
Draper won his first-ever ATP title on the grass of Stuttgart last year, but Wimbledon is actually his worst-performing Grand Slam tournament to date.
He has only ever won two of his five previous matches at the grass court major, with Draper losing to Cameron Norrie in the second round of Wimbledon in 2025.
Despite being unable to impress at Wimbledon before, Queen’s Club Championships tournament director and seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion Jamie Murray has backed Draper to have good results on grass this year.
Jamie Murray did also suggest that the attention will all be on Draper now that his brother, Andy Murray, has retired, but has backed the young British star to cope with the added pressure.
“He’s doing incredible,” Murray said on The Tennis Podcast’s broadcast on the Tennis Channel. “He’s four in the world right, he’s won Indian Wells, he’s done final in Madrid, I think he’s four in the race maybe.
“It’s also the first time that Andy has not been around at any of these tournaments, so you know all eyes will be on him for Queen’s and obviously going into Wimbledon expectation will be ramped up for sure, but you know that’s where he wants to be right? He wants to be at the top of the game and with that comes expectation.
“We know what that’s like in Britain and you know the spotlight is on him. But, I think he’s more than capable of handling that and you know I don’t see that necessarily affecting him.
“Hopefully it acts as a positive for him, he will get huge support over the next month and you know he has a great game to play well on grass. You know it wouldn’t surprise me if he goes on a great run here or at Wimbledon either.”
When later asked for a prediction over who he thought would win the title at Queen’s this year, Jamie Murray responded by saying Draper.
“I think Jack has a good chance, yeah (smiles),” said Murray. “I think Jack has a good chance.”
While he has never won the prestigious Queen’s title before, Draper did beat Alcaraz at the tournament last year.
Jack Draper’s Potential Draw at Queen’s Club Championships
Despite some big-name withdrawals from Queen’s this year, there is still a very strong field for the 122nd edition of the ATP 500 tournament.
Draper is the second seed this year and will start his campaign against Jenson Brooksby, the former world number 33 who he has already beaten once this year.
Some of the potential threats for Draper further into the tournament include Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur.
| Queen’s Club Championships 2025 | Jack Draper’s Potential Opponent |
| First Round | Jenson Brooksby |
| Second Round | Alexei Popyrin/Qualifier |
| Quarter-final | Frances Tiafoe (7)/Brandon Nakashima/Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard/Dan Evans |
| Semi-final | Taylor Fritz (3)/Alex de Minaur (5)/Jiri Lehecka/Jacob Fearnley |
| Final | Carlos Alcaraz (1)/Holger Rune (4)/Ben Shelton (6)/Jakub Mensik (8) |
If Draper is to reach the final of Queen’s for the first time this year then he could face a rematch with the aforementioned Alcaraz.
The main draw of the men’s tournament at the Queen’s Club Championships will get underway on Monday June 16.
