Jakub Mensik used his powerful serve to help him win the Miami Open title last month.
Mensik beat Novak Djokovic to win the Miami Open, which was the 19-year-old’s first ATP title of any sort.
After their final, Djokovic pinpointed Mensik’s serve as an improved shot after he hit 14 aces past him.
While Mensik’s serve is one of the more noticeable on the ATP Tour, he has actually named three other players as having the best at the moment.

Jakub Mensik names the three players who are the best servers on the ATP Tour
When speaking to Punto de Break in Madrid, Mensik was asked to name who he thinks are the three best players on the ATP Tour.
Mensik picked towering Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard as the best server on the ATP Tour.
Mpetshi Perricard beat Mensik at the Brisbane International earlier this year, and also hit a 244.6km/h serve at Roland Garros last year.
Mensik is not the only person who holds this view, with Joao Fonseca also backing Mpetshi Perricard.

The other two players that Mensik named are American players Reilly Opelka and Taylor Fritz.
Mensik beat Fritz in Miami, but had to come through two tie-break sets as he was unable to break the world number four.
“At the top, I’d put Mpetshi Perricard,” said Mensik. “This guy can serve at 240 km/h without breaking a sweat, sometimes even on his second serve.
“Reilly Opelka is another player with a tremendous serve. And third… I’d say Taylor Fritz. I played against him in Miami and couldn’t break his serve the entire match.”
While aces are not everything that signifies a good serve, only one of the three players that Mensik named features on the list of the top five players in terms of aces in 2025.
Opelka is that player, and is only actually bettered by Mensik himself, who has hit an impressive 326 aces in his 21 matches so far this year.
| Ranking | ATP Player | Number of Aces hit in 2025 |
| 1 | Jakub Mensik | 326 |
| 2 | Reilly Opelka | 286 |
| 3 | Felix Auger-Aliassime | 268 |
| 4 | Tallon Griekspoor | 228 |
| 5 | Matteo Berrettini | 210 |
Jakub Mensik explains why he thinks his serve is a strength in his game
After winning the Miami Open, the Czech has continued his form into the clay court season, with Mensik leaving Alexander Bublik in disbelief after their fourth round match at the Madrid Open.
When asked what makes his serve so effective, Mensik suggested that his height is a big factor and explained that he has put a lot of work into the ‘fundamental’ shot over the years.
“It’s clear that my height is an important factor; it’s like a bonus,” explained Mensik. “I’m lucky to be very tall, and this is an advantage over other shorter players. However, I’ve been working on this shot my whole life.
“Right now, the serve is a fundamental point in tennis, the only point that allows you to think and focus completely. Behind this serve are countless hours of training and improvements throughout tournaments.
“I feel like I’m getting more and more confident with my serve. Now, the goal is to be much more consistent with the serve, even though it’s very natural, but I need to keep working on it.”
Mensik hit 11 aces in his Madrid Open quarter-final against Francisco Cerundolo, but it was the Argentine who came out on top to end the Miami Open champion’s winning streak at Masters 1000 tournaments.
