Jack Draper enters the Barcelona Open for the first time
Draper has been announced to be part of the entry list for the Barcelona Open next month.
The Briton has never played at the prestigious tournament in Barcelona before, which has seen former champions include Rafael Nadal, Ivan Lendl and Carlos Alcaraz.
Alcaraz will return to the Barcelona Open as the top seed, having lost to Holger Rune in the final last year, with the defending champion unable to return to the tournament due to his Achilles injury.

Some of the other top seeds in Barcelona include Lorenzo Musetti, Alex de Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Casper Ruud.
A wildcard for the ATP 500 tournament has already been awarded to rising Spanish star Rafael Jodar, who has already beaten Cameron Norrie this year.
The 2026 Barcelona Open will get underway on Monday, April 13.

What is Jack Draper’s career record on clay?
Although Draper has been ranked as high as world number four, he is still relatively inexperienced on clay, having only made three appearances at the French Open.
Prior to the Madrid Open last year, Draper actually had a losing record on clay courts, before he would go on to reach the final in the Spanish capital before losing to the aforementioned Ruud.
The Madrid Open is actually the tournament where Draper started to feel discomfort in his arm, but he went on to achieve his best result at the French Open that year by reaching the fourth round.
| Jack Draper on clay | |
| Win-loss Record | 21-15 (58.3%) |
| Best Result | Madrid Open (2025) |
| Best Result at the French Open | Fourth Round (2025) |
Draper will actually begin his clay court season at the Monte Carlo Masters, where he has only won two of his five previous matches.
However, before then Draper will have his focus set on the hard courts of the Miami Open.
This is a big opportunity for Draper, who has just fallen outside the top 25 in the ATP rankings, and has a chance to climb back up after losing his only match in Miami last year.
Draper receives an automatic bye to the second round as a seeded player, with a second round match against either Reilly Opelka or Nuno Borges.
