Iga Swiatek is on track to win yet another title in 2024 after breaking a personal record at the Cincinnati Open.

Swiatek took a break after the Olympics in order to fully prepare for the Cincinnati Open, having competed at the event in Paris.

The Pole clinched the bronze medal in the French capital, with Naomi Osaka having watched Swiatek practising at the Olympics in order to learn from the world number one.

Swiatek will have perhaps been disappointed with her third place finish in Paris, but she hasn’t let it impact her latest event.

The 23-year-old is into the third round in Cincinnati, having beaten Varvara Gracheva in round two after her round one bye.
