Wimbledon finished in some style for Jannik Sinner as the world number one defeated Carlos Alcaraz in four sets to claim his maiden title at the All England Club.
Sinner managed to come through against Alcaraz despite losing the first set, taking the next three with some seriously solid tennis.
Bizarrely, Sinner was actually on the cusp of exiting Wimbledon at the last 16 stage when he trailed Grigor Dimitrov two sets to love before he was forced to retire after tearing his pectoral muscle.
For a number of players, it proved a tournament to remember, whilst for others the third Grand Slam of the year will be one they’re keen to move on from very quickly.

Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton discover new ATP world rankings
For Sinner and Alcaraz, there is no real need for them to look too closely at the world rankings, with the pair miles clear at the top of the list.
However, for other players, it’s a case of Wimbledon giving them a lift up the rankings and into a better position ahead of the United States swing.
Taylor Fritz has been swapping places for a few months with Jack Draper, and after making the semi-finals at SW19, he’s now back up to fourth place.
Ben Shelton made the quarter-final at Wimbledon and he too is moving up the rankings and now sits in ninth place when it comes to the world rankings.

Andrey Rublev is the big winner of Wimbledon, looking at the rankings, with the Russian player moving up four places from 14th to the top 10.
How the race for the ATP Finals is shaping up
With three of the four Grand Slams now completed, attention does start turning towards the end-of-year competition that takes place in Turin.
Wimbledon has done the world of good for some players and the race looks set to be electric when it comes to making the end-of-year showdown.
| Race to the ATP Finals | Player |

The top eight players on the one-year list contest the event, which takes place in Italy and right now it looks like it will be a very close run event.
Sinner and Alcaraz once again look like being the players to beat at the event, with the world number one claiming success at last year’s event.
