Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner contested their second consecutive Grand Slam final at Wimbledon as they continue to dominate on the ATP Tour.
At the 2025 French Open, Alcaraz and Sinner met in a major final for the first time ever, as the pair produced a classic.
After five sets of thrilling entertainment, Alcaraz defeated Sinner 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6.
The Italian didn’t have to wait long for a chance at revenge, however, as they met once more in the Wimbledon final.

There, Sinner emerged victorious, securing the win in four sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
Reacting to the world number one’s latest win, one ATP Tour star revealed whether players are becoming ‘deflated’ watching Alcaraz and Sinner dominate.
Chris Eubanks doesn’t think ATP players are deflated by Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s success, yet…
Appearing as a guest on the latest episode of ‘Served with Andy Roddick’, former Wimbledon quarterfinalist Chris Eubanks was asked if he thinks the recent dominance of the world number one and two has ‘deflated’ players.
“I don’t think just yet. You can look at the numbers and say that they won the last seven majors,” he said.

“I do think that it is a bit deflating one side, because you thought it was going to be open season for Slams [when the big three retired]. And that is kind of what the expectation was.
“But you are looking at it and you are saying there used to be three, sometimes four, but now there’s two.”
Eubanks believes it is easier to win a Grand Slam today than it was during the era of the ‘big three’.
“If I can put myself in position consistently, could I give myself a far better chance of taking out one rather than both?” he said.

“Back in the generation when you were trying to win Slams, you were trying to beat at least two of those guys. Sometimes you would have to go through a third, which when [Andy] Murray and Stan [Wawrinka] and those guys were about, it was really deep.
“So even if one guy comes in injured, you still have to worry about three other guys or two other guys.
“Now it’s like if, God forbid, a guy comes into a Slam injured, it’s like I don’t have to worry about my draw, but there is just one guy walking around.”
When the stars of the ATP Tour travel to New York for the US Open later this year, they will no doubt be hoping to disrupt Alcaraz and Sinner’s Grand Slam-winning streak.
The three players most likely to stop Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s Slam streak
Several big names on the ATP Tour will have confidence in their ability to win the 2025 US Open, putting an end to Alcaraz and Sinner’s run in the process, but who are the top three favorites?
Novak Djokovic
It is hard to look past a 24-time major champion when discussing the favorites for any Grand Slam event.
Novak Djokovic, aged 38, has been remarkably consistent at the sport’s biggest tournaments in 2025, reaching the semifinals of all three majors, and should he arrive in New York fit and ready to go, he could cause real problems for his younger rivals.
The Serb won the title at Flushing Meadows just two years ago, and would love nothing more than to clinch a record-extending 25th Grand Slam on Arthur Ashe Stadium in a few months’ time
Alexander Zverev
Will he or won’t he? The question remains as to whether or not Alexander Zverev will ever get his hands on a Grand Slam title.
The 28-year-old qualified for the first of his three major finals at the US Open five years ago, falling apart from two sets up against his close friend Dominic Thiem.
Having already reached a hard-court Grand Slam final this year in Melbourne, Zverev showed his class on the surface and will surely be a factor during the latter stages of this year’s US Open.
Ben Shelton
There aren’t many players who rise to the occasion quite like Ben Shelton, who seems to always save his best tennis for the Slams.
Shelton has only lost to Alcaraz and Sinner at majors this year, but with the home US Open crowd behind him, things may well be different if he meets either of them at Flushing Meadows.
Only time will tell if either Djokovic, Zverev, or Shelton can disrupt the dominance of Alcaraz and Sinner at the US Open, but you certainly won’t want to miss any of the action when the tournament begins on Sunday, August 24.
