Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will make their return to ATP action at the Qatar Open next week.

Both stars, ranked first and second in the world, opted not to feature in any tournaments immediately after their Australian Open campaigns.

The ‘new two’ enjoyed lengthy runs at Melbourne Park, with Sinner reaching the semifinals and Alcaraz winning the title to become the youngest player ever to complete the Career Grand Slam, aged 22.

They will be competing for the title, ATP points, and a large sum of prize money.

How Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner did in Doha last season

Sinner did not appear at the Qatar Open last year as he was serving a three-month suspension, but Alcaraz did feature.

The now-seven-time major champion made his first-ever appearance at the Qatar Open in 2025, and won his first match against Marin Cilic comfortably.

In round two, he was tested against Luca Nardi, but came through the battle to book his place in the quarterfinals.

Alcaraz was faced with Jakub Mensik in the last eight, and the Czech star got the better of him in three sets.

The loss to Mensik was one of just nine Alcaraz suffered during the 2025 season.
