Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed his future plans after winning the Australian Open for the first time.
Alcaraz completed the Career Grand Slam at the Australian Open after beating Novak Djokovic in the final.

Alcaraz then withdrew from the Rotterdam Open, with it now being revealed just how many days he had off after winning the Australian Open.

Carlos Alcaraz’s plans for after the Australian Open have been confirmed
Alcaraz spent over 20 hours on court at the Australian Open this year, which includes his record-breaking five hour and 27 minute semifinal against Alexander Zverev.
As a result, it would be completely understandable if Alcaraz wanted to take some time away from the tennis court.
However, MARCA has now revealed that Alcaraz actually spent only three days after landing in Spain before returning to court with his coach Samuel Lopez on Friday, February 6.
Who finishes their career on more majors – Alcaraz or Djokovic?
Following Alcaraz’s withdrawal from the Rotterdam Open, there were then questions over whether he would then pull out of the Qatar Open as well.
Despite this, Alcaraz is committed to the tournament and plans to fly to Doha on Saturday ahead of the tournament getting underway.
What happened to Carlos Alcaraz at the Qatar Open last year?
Alcaraz will be playing the Qatar Open for just the second time in his career, after making his debut at the ATP 500 tournament last year.
This came after Alcaraz had just won the Rotterdam Open, but he was unable to go and win back-to-back titles.
After beating Marin Cilic and Luca Nardi to reach the Qatar Open quarterfinals, Alcaraz was beaten by Jiri Lehecka.
Will Carlos Alcaraz win the Calendar Slam in 2026?
If not, which Grand Slam is he going to fail to win?
This was one of only nine defeats Alcaraz suffered in 2025, and he will be hoping to avoid this happening again.
However, Alcaraz will face some tough competition in Doha, with Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic also entered into the tournament.
The Qatar Open will officially get underway on Monday, February 16.
